Amanda Bossard was just out high school when she began her studies in marine biology at Alaska PacificUniversity in Anchorage. Bossard started her career as a seafood commercial worker in 1999. Bossard began working on the F/V Sunset a 65' halibut-schooner which was converted into a tender for salmon in the name of Murat Aritan. She was employed in commercial fishing since 1993. Bossard married Aritan in 1999. The couple have teamed up to fight for their business. They are supporters of conservative and profitable renewable seafood resource management. Otolith is directly wholesale distribution of seafood founded by a woman in Philadelphia in 2007, by a now-mother of two kids, Bella aged 3, and Andre aged 1. She and her husband are separated by five months, and more for her to focus on her goals in terms of finances and her environmental goals. Bossard along with Isabella and Andre (ages 12, 10 respectively) Return each year starting in July 2016 in Southeast Alaska for the summer harvest of wild salmon.
